PeopleSafe® Instructors
Our instructors are the best part of PeopleSafe® and the
main reason for our success. Each instructor has a unique set of qualities
and experiences that inspire self-reliance, adaptability, responsibility,
confidence, integrity, persistence, and success.
Our Instructor selection and certification programs
provide a benchmark to help ensure you're getting training that's up to your
high standards. The PeopleSafe® programs sets us apart because we don't assume
all instructors are the same. The background of the instructor and the courses
for which they seek certification determine the starting point and path through
the certification process. Critical check-points are placed at every stage in
the process to help insure you get training that is up to our high standards.
Candidates for the Instructor Certification Program must
pass an intensive selection process. Not just anyone can join this rare
breed of people. The first step to becoming a PeopleSafe®

Having completed the first two steps, candidates then
participate in a 30 hour course in instructional methods. They then go through
each level of the program they are qualifying for as a student. After
completing all levels of the program as a student they assist an
experienced instructor in teaching each level. As the candidate goes
through each level, the instructor mentors and evaluates the candidate.
The evaluations and instructor recommendation
are then forwarded to the certification committee for final review and
certification of the candidate as a PeopleSafe® instructor.
To maintain qualification, instructors must teach a
minimum number of courses each year, and every three years they must attend a
renewal course to receive updates in the various techniques and teaching
methodology. They are also re-monitored on an ongoing basis.
The bottom line: you’ll be in good hands with our
instructors. At PeopleSafe®, your safety is our number one priority.
